The clock starts on the working day after your documents are complete and your coordination fee is paid, and stops on the day your new passport is dispatched to you. The period is no more than ten working days. When we quote, we confirm in writing that your case qualifies; the rare cases that cannot be done in ten days by anyone (for example where a document must first be obtained from Nigeria) are told so before you pay anything. If we miss it, we refund your coordination fee in full. Official fees paid to the Nigeria Immigration Service or the High Commission are outside our control and are not refundable by us.

The official NIS fees are $150 for a 32-page 5-year passport or $230 for a 64-page 10-year passport, paid in US dollars on the NIS portal and exclusive of bank charges; NIS quotes $162 and $242 as the amounts payable. On top of that is a £20 postal order to the Nigeria High Commission. Our fee starts from £300, confirmed in writing with your appointment date before you pay anything.

For most renewals, yes: biometric capture is in person at 9 Northumberland Avenue, London. Adults renewing may qualify for the optional contactless route through the NIS Mobile app, which carries an extra $100 NIS processing fee. Minors and first-time applicants cannot use contactless.

No. Nobody can take your biometrics for you. What we do is make sure you only have to attend once, with everything correct.

That is our own commitment, not a government timescale. NIS's service standard for a renewal is 21 days after enrolment. For a change of name or other data, its Service Level Agreement gives 21 days where there is no local objection in one row and 42 days in another. When we quote, we confirm in writing whether your case qualifies for the guarantee.

Yes. You can renew a passport that is still valid. Many people renew six to twelve months before expiry to avoid travel problems.
