How it works
- 1. Message us with your reference code and your travel date if you have one. We tell you immediately whether you need a replacement passport, an Emergency Travel Certificate, or both.
- 2. We agree your quote with our vetted agent and confirm price and appointment date to you.
- 3. You pay, and our agent prepares the lost-passport paperwork, the guarantor form, and books your slot.
- 4. You attend the High Commission once, with the guarantor form already sworn. We track your new passport to your door.
What you must do in person: You attend in person at Nigeria High Commission, 9 Northumberland Avenue, London WC2N 5BX (submissions 9:00am to 1:00pm). Your guarantor's form (P/21) must be sworn before a magistrate, justice of the peace, commissioner for oaths or notary public before you go.
Your passport is dispatched within 10 working days, or we refund our coordination fee.

When we quote, we confirm in writing that your case qualifies; the rare cases that cannot be done in ten days by anyone (for example where a document must first be obtained from Nigeria) are told so before you pay anything.
If we miss it: If we miss it, we refund your coordination fee in full. Official fees paid to the Nigeria Immigration Service or the High Commission are outside our control and are not refundable by us.
The guarantee does not cover delays caused by:
- Documents that turn out to be incomplete or incorrect, or information that is inaccurate.
- A NIN that does not match your passport details and was not corrected first (we check this before you pay).
- An appointment missed or rescheduled on your side.
- An official system outage, suspension or policy change announced by the Nigeria Immigration Service or the High Commission.
- A case we told you in writing at quote stage falls outside the guarantee, for example where a document must first be obtained from Nigeria.

What causes delays
- Booking a standard renewal appointment for a lost passport. Lost and damaged cases have their own requirements; the wrong booking type wastes the appointment.
- Arriving without the police report, or with a guarantor form that has not been properly sworn.
- Using an outdated fee amount. It is £150, not £250.

How much does it cost to replace a lost Nigerian passport in the UK?
The Nigeria High Commission charges £150 for a lost, stolen or damaged passport, by UK postal order, plus the standard NIS passport fee ($150 or $230, plus bank charges) on the portal. Several older guides quote £250; the High Commission's own requirements page says £150.
I fly to Nigeria in a few days. What do I do?
An Emergency Travel Certificate costs £120, is applied for in person at the High Commission without an appointment (9:30am to 1pm), and allows immediate one-way travel to Nigeria, valid 30 days from issue. The High Commission does not publish a turnaround, so go as early as you can with every document ready. You then replace the passport in Nigeria or on return. We tell you which route fits your dates.
Do I need a police report?
Yes, for a lost or stolen passport the High Commission requires a police report or crime reference. Report it to the police first; we help with everything after.
