Who we are

Janus Compliance Limited (company number 16583861, registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF) is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: michaelo@januscompliance.co.uk.

What we collect through this website

Your first name, your WhatsApp number, the service you are asking about, any travel date or urgency you give us, the page you were on, and a reference code we generate. If you message us on WhatsApp, we also hold the content of that conversation. We do not collect your passport, NIN, BVN or any identity document through this website. Where documents are needed, you send them to the agent handling your case directly, in your conversation.

Why, and on what legal basis

To respond to your request, work out what your case needs, obtain and confirm a quote, and coordinate your application. Our lawful basis is that this processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and, for follow-up such as checking your application completed and inviting an honest review, our legitimate interest in running the service well (Article 6(1)(f)). We do not send marketing.

Who we share it with

The vetted, UK-based application agent who will handle your case, so they can quote and then act for you. The agent is a separate controller of the data they hold; we have a written agreement with them covering security, breach notification and your rights. Our hosting and messaging providers process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Lead records for 24 months from your last contact, then deleted. WhatsApp conversations for the same period. Records needed for tax and accounting purposes are kept for six years as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it. Email michaelo@januscompliance.co.uk with your reference code. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
